The establishment of PETROJAM CASPIAN INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION was a necessity felt as the result of rapid expansion of Iran’s petrochemical industry and the successful 3.5 years cooperation between Mr. Mohammad Matin in Tehran and Mr. Mohsen Alavi in Dubai for marketing and sales of Iranian oil, gas and petrochemical products.
In excess of 80 years combined business experience of Petrojam founders – of which over 10 years has been devoted to the supply and sales of Iranian energy products – is the cornerstone for achieving Petrojam’s ambitious goals in the years ahead.
From less than 1.5 million tons capacity before Islamic revolution in 1979, Iran has come a long way to emerge as a leading petrochemical producer and a major player in global markets with over 62 million tons capacity in its 59 huge production complexes in 2016-17. By completing 49 projects currently under implementation, the country’s capacity will surpass 120 million tons by 2025, positioning Iran as the largest manufacturer of petrochemicals in the Middle East with emphasis on premium quality engineering polymers and other high value polymeric products.
Although we are supplying our polymers and fertilizers to several Middle East and Asian markets, we plan not only to increase the volume of our export, but also to offer some of Iranian feedstocks and intermediates needed by downstream industries in non-oil producing countries. To this end, we plan to enter into joint venture partnership with the successful marketers and the suppliers of chemicals and petrochemicals all around the world.
A vital issue in dealing with Iranian petrochemical industry is the ability to supply, bearing in mind that almost all petrochemical producers in Iran are semi-government entities. It demands special relationships and strong connection with decision makers at the highest levels in order to succeed in obtaining most competitive rates and ensure timely delivery of the orders placed. Our past records show that we have been successful in majority of cases as we will commit only when we are assured up to 95% that we can deliver.
